What’s Up? I’m Ralph

A native St. Louisan and technology enthusiast with more than 15 years of software development experience. The vast majority of my career has been spent assisting companies achieve their software goals through contracting and consultancy. As founder of Aycot Consulting, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a wide range of products across many different industries and technology stacks. Currently, I’m a Software Engineer at Twitter where I work in the Engineering Effectiveness Org. Together, EE is responsible for enabling engineers to produce high-quality software needed to support 100s of millions of users. Our group impacts Twitter engineers globally and plays a significant role in continuous improvement, integration, delivery, and support of software created at Twitter.

Previously, I worked as a Principal Engineer at Lumen Technologies. There, I was part of the technical leadership team where I focused on development and design for their cloud and network offerings. I worked with a team of highly talented individuals who collectively run Lumen Cloud, a public cloud spanning 17+ datacenters across the U.S., Canada, Germany, Singapore, Great Britain, and Australia.

In the era of Cloud Architecture, I’m at the helm of moving development and operations toward Cloud Native designs. Container-centric models with orchestration platforms like Kubernetes are a passion of mine. I love coding and building tools that enable teams to rapidly deploy software that’s cloud ready.
